wow this has to be the only angel I have ever personally owned that actually long balls and is accurate...surprized me and i just wanted to know how some angels long ball and some dont? something with the internals? it is a 2k bonebrake and has to be the best angel I have ever owned.

jim, basicly... you send in $300 or however much it costs and they slap this prrty Bone Break sticker on the side of your gun :)

oh don't forget they change the bolt too....and doesn't that bolt supposedly put a top spin on the ball...so that would mean a shorter range right????

more than just a sticker my friend...u get a new bolt hammer and some other mods and whatnot...my bonebrake longballs as good as a cocker for some reason and I have to blame it on the bone brake mods...the best I have ever owned.

longballing: SHOOTS FAR the only thing that I have seen with this angel is that is hogs the air! but still the best I have had
all this longballing stuff is nonsense. I own a dark lcd and a freeflow autococker and both shoot the same distance when theyre at the same velocity. Niether shoots straighter or farther although the cocker does have a tighter grouping at a distance.
Maybe the bonebrake mod just turned ur velocity up a little...

hey nutz isn't a nut after all ;)
hes right though, "longball" is bull. All guns shoot the same distance as long as the velocities are the same, and excluding all back spin products.

While this "longball" stuff is nonsense, the claim that guns with the same velocities necessarily shoot as far as other guns is wrong.
Barrels have a HUGE part in determining distance. The finish of the barrel directly affects the friction on the paintball. This affects the acceleration of the paintball. If we have two guns that shoot at the exactly same velocities, we cannot claim they will travel the same difference. However, if they both have the same declaration and the same velocity then they will go the same distance. Using the same barrel can remedy any friction difference.
I bring this point up because I have seen a cocker and a angel shoot at the same fps and travel different distances. The cocker player claimed that this proves that cockers shoot further and straighter than other markers.

good thought but once it leaves the barrel, it no longer accelerates. Most barrels today have tons of portings which also does not help with acceleration rate. So once the ball leaves the barrel at x=<300fps it will only get slower from there thus its impossible for one marker to shoot balls farther than another without any back spin product.

unless the marker is put into a vice and you use a freak (or some other barrel system that will allow you to make it exactly the same on both markers) and the markers are leveled (that means actually using a level) the same insert, the same tip, and the same paint then both are chrono'd to the EXACT same speed you will always have human error, and a difference in perception...

Oh just thought i add. They polish EVERY internal part that can be polished. Kinda like in a car you can get a port and polided pistons n §§§§...makes you get more HP. Well my teamate has a bonebreak LCD and that thing shoots hella far... He plays back...I here is balls WHIZZING passed my ears. Bonebreak makes good stuff...plus that waranty is great!

or you think he's shooting farther because he's tilting his gun upwards.. :rrrright:
I had a 2001 C&C LCD that was BoneBraked. I found it to shoot slightly flatter than my son's 2000 Dark Angel.
It also does use more air than any of our other Angels (LCDs & IR3s).
At first, it was breaking balls (fragile shell), until I found that the LPR was set too high. Once the LPR was lowered, the problem went away.
One of the good things about the mods was, still being able to shoot accurately down to 600 PSI (tank pressure) when we have several "back to back" scrimages during team practices.
Other than the heavier air use, I thought it was worth the bucks.

I think you notice it to shoot flatter from shot to shot because it's running at a lower pressure thus less barrel movement or kick.
