Let say I have an adjustable tank, can I gut my mini-reg and use it as a gas-thru? Or should I leave the min-reg on?
Any suggestions? I am really looking on how I can get the best shot consistency.
I am using a preset tank right now. And I am thinking of getting an adjustable tank like the Conquest or the Worr adjustables.
Any suggestions is truly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

the best shot consistency would definately be double regging. you can gut the mini and go with an adjustable, but make sure its a quality adjustable. god forbid the reg piston sticks and unloads 2000 psi into your gun, thats the main reason i double reg my adjustable tank ( nitroduck x-treme) with the mini...

If you buy a great adjustable you can do it. AIR or 2k3 Conquest will be almost more consistent. I do not gut my mini but know people that do, and they get +/- 2. I get +/- 2 and have the extra security, but some say that you will get better consistency... Maybe I will try it and get back to you...

Instead of gutting the reg just buy a gas thru.

So its ok to double reg? Will it be almost the same shot consistency? Because i would be more at ease with using the mini-reg with the adjustables, just like what crashdan and jabbster said, extra security.
See im not sure, if people gut their mini-regs for adjustable tanks.
Thanks guys, keep it coming.

One more thing, what are good adjustables for the angel?

How about the worr gas adjustables? Anyone? Comments?

Whats the best output pressure for the 2k3 LCD? How much does the mini-reg regulate?
So if im running a preset(i have a PE 68/45), how much pressure will going into the mini-reg? And how much does the mini-reg put into the gun?
So why do people buy adjustables? Will they be more consistent? More consistent than the presets?
I appreciate any help people, im not really a techy.
Thanks

Check the AIR forum, theres a bunch of info on how to go about gutting th mini reg, and the pros and cons.

i think there should be a note on the front page of this forum that says search before you post its riduculous how many times people ask the same question that has been answered a hundred times over i am really getting sick of it

Anyone else have any comment and suggestions about adjustable tanks?

DO NOT EVER RUN AN ANGEL AIR THROUGH A GAS THROUGH. I know plenty of people, whose angel airs spike all the time, including mine. If I didn't double reg, my gun would of have been blown up around 13 times over from the reg spiking ands going into high pressure output. Dont do it with any system, even if you blow an oring or someting in your tank, say goodbye to your gun's internals.

Thanks Captn, I will surely keep that in mind.

I humbly suggest not gutting the mini reg.. Use it as a stop gap just incase you have a HP spike. +/- 2-3 across a crono is nominal flux. Not going to get tech. on ya, but temp and humidity will allow air to flux. True not as bad as Co2 but comp. air will jump around some. Pnuematics is a fun science to mess with.

why would you want to gut the mini reg anyway? What good would it do?

No, i was just asking. As I was reading I have seen many people suggest that you gut the mini-reg. Anyway, i think im keeping the mini-reg, for added safety. Now, im just looking for a good adjustable, at a reasonable price.
