View Full Version : Output Pressure Continually Increases

Hey,

I went to fill up my air the other day and after doing so the out put pressure continually kept creeping up until it reached high pressure and then air started leaking out of the overflow.

This was happening even with the the output pressure screw completely unscrewed so there should have been zero output pressure!!

I completely dissassembled the regulator, replaced all o-rings/rubber bits, re-greased everything and put it back together.

Now when I fill the tank air is leaking out of where the back block connects to the rest of the reg.

Any help to both of these problems would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The output problem is liable to be a damaged or dirty main seal. You'll need to have it replaced.

The new leak is possibly because one of the o-rings that help seal some of the gas galleries has dropped out. Some early AIRs still leaked even with the o-rings, hence the addition of the little ball bearings to help ensure that the rings seal and block any leaks. Another simple possibility is that the block isn't tightened enough.
