View Full Version : Halo problem...?

Alright, yesterday when I was playing, I was getting really inconsistent readings @ the chrono... like 212, 273, 189, etc... and getting mad FSDO (not to mention chopping like crazy). I finally figured out that the halo was throwing the paint past the ball detent.
BUT, when I threw on a spare halo (thank God my teammate brought one). My gun worked perfect, and got great chrono readings 283, 283, 281.
My halo was working great the day before. My only thoughts is maybe low batteries? I can't understand why low batteries would make it throw paint further though. Anyone have any ideas?

ball detent....
are the Halo's the same software versions?
the newer TE software is supposed to be able to stop it at the ball detents, additionally I heard this weekend that Odyssey has an even newer software version out now....not sure what all it fixed tho

Ball detent was orignally my thoughts too... but it worked fine with the other halo. Both HALO's have TE... what detent is reccomended for the halo... I know the new eclipse are. BTW, my detent appears to be functioning well.
How can I tell the difrence between non Te software halos and ones that have it ? Is it like a stamp on the board ?

Well, I have had 3 halo's, all TE software. 2 didn't worked and caused my IR3 to chop like crazy in the breech. The third works flawlessly - however, I did do some ram/hammer adjustment before using the third one - maybe that was the help it needed??

Well, I called up Odyssey and they will send me a new sensor unit. Their customer service is awesome. I couldn't imagine calling up brass eagle and ask for a new sensor for a revy... they'd prolly say something like "well you voided your warranty when you took it apart"...
Ok, I'm rambling. Anyways, I'll post again after I get the sensor to see if it worked.

Odyssey is an easy company to deal with.
