View Full Version : Angel 4 Dynasty Edition

In their thank you speech at Joy Masters today, which they won, Oliver Lang mentioned that there will be a Dynasty version of the Angel 4. He didn't say anything else about it so I don't know if there will only be cosmetic changes or something more will be done to the A4.

they will prob do soemthing special to the a4 liek they did with the mamba's. Or maybe even dynasty will get tehre cobra sponcorship back, adn cobra will make a mamba edition fot he A4 and thats wat dynasty will use.

it'll prob. be just milling and maybe have "dynasty" on the gun. it'd be cool if it came with an eye sorta like how the ironmen did with their new matrixes.

It would be awesome if it came with ACE with some sort of nice cover plate and dynasty milled into it with mamba type millingm I'd pick one up in a second.

There was tension between Dynasty and Cobra. Their Ir3's weren't working right, and they were having problems, and Cobra wasn't fixing or stopping the problems. So Dynasty decided to drop them and just shoot angels.

now cobra has been left alone...sales down

actually cobra dropped dynasty, because eveyone on dynasty liked the lcds and ir3s more because they were more reliable in games and practice. So cobra couldnt have dynasty be shooting lcds and ir3s what does it say about there guns?? and the dynasty a4 wont be coming out till xmas likely they are working on just the milling having dynasty milled into the side but it looks dope.

Give me a break!!! Its not like Dynasty using the Mambas really increased Cobras sells in my opinion. Think about it how many Cobra IR3s do you see in a weekend??? Me, 1 a month if that! Now Dark IR3s?? huh too many to count. So I cant really see Cobra paying Dynasty any kind of cash money outright. Hell look at this site and tell me how many Mamba IR3s you see around? And then look at the Darks.... Hmmm If it was a money thing then Cobra hopefully was going to do nothing more than give them guns to shoot. If it was cash involved then Cobra got burned IMO.
Set on that for a while,
Hep

I really hope it has an eye, a regular beam break style eye. Sensi works ok but I don't like an eye system that I have to watch and monitor.

Hep, i see your point,i HARDLY ever see a cobra bit i see a lot of darks, and i dont think the dynasty sponsor helped them on sales, just got their names out when they were begining

i personally disagree. Honestly now, a mamba, would that sell without dynasty's association? It's just another milling pattern in my opinion, would have probably had the success of the Impact LCD.. or worse.
anyway- the ONLY real reason in my opinion the mamba had success was because of dynasty. Just like the dark angel, it was made and marketed by Avalanche/Warped Sportz. Without avalanche, would we really know about darks, would they be so popular?
Dynasty helped COBRA get their name out in the beginning, in my opinion. I don't really see how you can argue it either, because i can gaurentee 90+ percent of mamba owners were influenced by dynasty, or advertising done by dynasty

Hep, I totally agree with you in that the dynasty sponsorship didn't sell many guns, but how many people will go drop that kind of cash on a gun under any circumstances? That said, I was just passing on what I was told by Glen.

the dynasty edition is supose tobe the lightest angel marker. Different milling, and a price set at around 1600. direct quote from owen him self.

i think that the cobra sponsorship with dynasty got cobras name out a lot, more rich kids knew about them with such a known team sponsored by them, now that the name is out it dont matter if dynasty is still sponsored by them
edit to stop the repost thinger--
cant wait to see the dynasty angel, im hoping they will have a bit more style than the old folks at WDP had. (if teams acually design their signature guns)

cobra might still make a mamba A4. they dont need to sponsor dynasty to make there own guns. and if everyone knows about cobra and wants mambas because of dynasty what will most rich unknowledgeable kids think that dynasty doesnt use those guns anymore. They would now think they werent good enough for the best team.
the reason darks are everywhere is because lots of places sell darks. You dont see too many mambas in retail stores or on sale at every website that caries high end stuff. The only place you can get one is at their sight or used. Cobra doesnt really do a lot of marketing. and I bet most people that have a dark it isnt because avalanche use it, most likely because its easy to get customized angel.

You know what, you are soo right, i mean, Dark Angels/Warped Sportz didn't need to market their product, somehow everyone just KNEW about the product.
Then they decided for the hell of it to air a commercial on tv, I mean, we've ALL seen their commercial...right?
I think you can figure out what I mean...
as far as cobra, without dynasty, you really do think that they would have sold as many mamba's as they did? You really think they would continue to sell as many markers as they do?
Ok... you are right, marketing is just a lil something people talk up to create more job opportunities.... and you are right, teams have NOTHING to do with marketing products, or certain products popularity. Which is why GAP gives dynasty 12 million pbs a year, and why SC ironmen recieve over 20 million pbs a year (these are published facts by the way, reference facefull)
I mean, jeez, what could companies POSSIBLY get out of giving tens of thousands of dollars to top pro teams? With your logic, it seems to me as if every paintball industry sponsor out there is run by buffons. wow...
I think your going a little overboard on the sarcasim mayhempaintball. Yeah major companies sponsor these teams for exposure and to help sell their product without a doubt. In my reply I was stating that Dynasty using the Mambas probably didnt have the same impact as Avalanche with the Dark series. Even though now Dynasty may have more wins under their belt than Ava? I dont know and I dont have the time to go and look as stats of each team. But given the overall sales of each namesakes marker I would say hands down the Dark overshadows the Mamba series. Just my observatioin. And with GAP owned by one of Dynastys players Im sure they can get however many balls they want a year. And no the industry isnt ran by baffoons but rather marketers who target our little 10% of paintballs total sales in conjunction with the Rec crowd. Rec and renegade players is what makes the industry money and not us tourney players.
Food for thought once again,
Hep

Cobras were sick before Dynasty in my opinion. But having a team like dynasty push your product will help.....no dobut. And if you think it woudln't you must be retareded. And as for Dynasty not gettin ne money outta the deal.....Don't make me laugh. Most team sponorships(in the pros) have some sort of money involved in them no matter what the deal is. If they put a teams name on a gun, even if they give everyone on the team a free gun, they will get some CASH outta it. And from what i know the original dynasty lcd's were payed for by the team. Will

The Dynasty A4 is supposed to be much lighter than the original 4. That's ridiculous seeing how the original only weighs 2.3 lbs or something like that. They're so light in your hands its amazing. Even with AIR on it.

WDP's next step is to make a better and lighter AIR.
