Hey guys, im almost positive that im going to get an Angel this x-mas and with this new A4 coming out, i think ive hit a road block. I originally planned on getting an ir3, but i dont know if i should wait and get the A4 :( . To me it seems that the A4 is the same thing as the ir3 except for the 31bps, and a few new gauges heh. So shall i stick with getting an ir3? or Go for the A4.??? Im not trying to blow alot of money on this either :) .

If some one else is getting it for you, why not go all out and get the A4? If not, the iR3 is still a perfact marker. The only major differences is the A4 is capped at 31, and it can go low pressure.

ah well then i should just go with the ir3... yes my mom and dad are buying it for me but there are 2 other kids in our family so i told my parents, grandparents not to buy me anything for x-mas just all pitch in for the gun... then i gotta worry about getting an air system : X

get the a4. since ur family is buying it for u, u might as well. it's all around better gun than the ir3. but the ir3 is still a top-of-the-line marker. angel just sets their standards so high, all their guns are great. but if i didn't have to worry bout payin for it, i'd get the a4 :)

Ah thats good then... Its going for about the same price as an Ir3. And its not coming out too late! Im going to see if they can order it for me around october sometime, just to see if any people are having problems with the gun... if they are, then its hello ir3 hehe.

Europort

Yes moogle, i was thinking about that too.. so for the same price im probably going to beable to buy an ir3 on Dec 25th (Christmas) and on January 7th (my birthday/russian x-mas) I can buy angel air... :) unless somone feels like donating one to me HAHAH

hmm whats with the terms such as 45/45 and stuff like that... im use to c02 :X hehehe.... plz dont flame me fore being noob *G*
like the bigger the ci the better? what about the psi?
MoogLe
08-02-2003, 11:03 PM
45/45 means 45 cubic inches and 4500 psi so a 68/30 would mean 68 ci and 3000 psi etc, and the bigger ci doesnt necesarily mean better, it really depends on what position you play, the smaller it is the lighter it is but it also holds less, the more psi it holds the better though
i play front and i use a 45/45, it's small and light and you wont need more when playing front anyways so it suits me
a back player would want 68ci and up

hmm i plan on playing back, so does that mean i should get a bigger tank for more shots?

yeah a 68/45 (68ci 4500psi) tank would do good for back. Maybe even a 88 if you wanted.

or just get good and get sponsored by your field like most the guys on teams 'round here. 5 dollar all day air, so everyone basically uses 45/45.

ya but you cant refill in the middle of a game, so it depends on how much you shoot, but seeing as you're just starting out speedball i wouldnt think you shoot that much so a 68/45 would be just fine if you're gonna play back
Europort

ah ok... time to look up prices on 68/45 lol

make sure they fill to 45 before you spend money on a 45 regbottle. maybe you should read some more posts and magazines before buying a really expensive gun so you know what your getting and have some prior knowledge and wont be so inexpieranced. $1500 is a lot to spend and you want to know what your doing before you wield the beast:wink:

sorry for double post but i was thinking about something along these lines... not to expensive, and just what im looking for ? http://www.actionvillage.com/031-3008.html
**EDIT** or for about 10-20 bucks more i can get an 88, but i dunno if it would mean much of a difference.

i was sponsored by my local field for a while but he wouldnt give us much so we got rid of him and got sponsored by firstcallpaintball.com and a local pb store. We havent gotten anything from them yet but eh. lol.

Not to be "Mr. Correction" or anything... but I spoke to Dan at WDP's Cali office and he told me the marker is called the "4" not the A4 like I tried to ask him about.
He also said that shortly after New Jersey, we would be able to preorder the 4. Then about 2months later we could have one in our hands.

A4 is just short for Angel 4, which is what it's called, and europort what's your budget? if you have the means for it you should get something like an angel air or conquest etc, more consistent which will also lead to more accuracy

well im not poor but im not bill gates either lol i just want to get an air tank that is good, and will last me a while... but also i dont want to empty alot of paint outta my wallet... im probably going to be buying the airtank.... i got about 85 now, but for x-mas and my birthday, people are going to be sending me money, so i figure around 250-300 by end of january..
**EDIT***
IM going on vacation for about 1 and 1/2 weeks 2morrow so i wont beable to get back to your guys. i appreciate the input while im gone tho.
