The worthless iR3s....

OK, the first blow we took was the Speed. Now comes the A4 to take away the advantage we had with an LCD screen. Lol, this is starting to age faster than my freakin computer!
So, what are the predictions on the resale value of iR3s?
With all the people ditching their current setups to get the A4, this could be a great time to pick up a used backup for all us hardcore iR3 fans!

all i kno is that my ir3 is just as good as any speed or A4, just because the speed and A4 come with other stuff and different milling and internals, dont mean nothing to me. In the end my Mamba will shoot just as straight and fast as i could shoot a speed or A4 and plus mines looks nicer ha. Thats how i see things going but thats just my 2 cents

I'm all about my IR3. I'm probably gonna pick up an A4 anyway. I'll be keeping my Dark, since it should be worth around $10 now.....

IR3 has one thing over A4...Looks, IR3s dont have a big azz pressure guage on the mini reg, our trigger guard isnt fit for hulks hands, and our triggers dont look like green beans.

yep. iR3's are the best looking Angels out. The C+C and the Darks beat any other gun out there, period

yep, and for the small difference in performance (i dont give a hoot about lp) the BIG difference in looks makes up fot it.

IR3=Denise Richards- Looks really cool but dosent preform top notch.

A4=Julia Roberts, preforms really good, some nice features but not an A+ in looks.

and "A4" sounds like something out of metal gear solid game

that sounds like such a ricer car mentality... who cares how it performs, it looks pretty. I know that the ir3's performance isnt that much 'worse' than the speed or 4, but dont say it's a better gun becuase it looks better. thats silly.

I see no reason to ditch my Fly. I love it and it's never let me down. I'm not impressed by the looks of the A4 (that gauge!! oh God, that gauge! WTF!??), and I couldn't care LESS about low pressure, and seriously... I don't need to shoot 30bps. 16 or 17 is expensive enough!

It is an improvement over the Speed, but not revolutionary enough for me to run out like a sheep and buy one just 'cause it's new. I've had my iR3 since Christmas... maybe I'll pick up a new Angel next season... maybe not. If something works for me, I'll stick with it.

I agree with pntbalmatt, but until we actually see them being used and WDP handles any bugs in the software that will probably come up, I'll be sticking with my IR3. The A4 may be a better gun, and probably is given the advancements in technology that have been demonstrated as of late, but in my opinion the IR3 has proven itself to be around for a while longer.

I also have to agree with warpedx and vission on their opinion that the IR3 is the best looking marker in the WDP line. We have said it many times on other parts of AOG forums, that when it comes to personal preference over what to put on your Angel or which Angel to shoot a majority of the argument comes down to what do you like when it comes down to looks and feel. Kind of disappointed that warpedx made no mention of the Mamba IR3 when he was naming the C&C and the Dark as best looking Angels, but I'm sure he was on the right track.

I will probably end up owning an A4 eventually, but for now I am happy and content with the performance, feel, and look of my Dusted Black Mamba IR3, and that is what is important isn't?

pntbalmatt- we're not saying that iR3's will outperform the new Angels, just that they look better, and we gotta hang onto any edge we got now. That and quite a few of us can't justify getting a breand new angel for a slight increase in performance when our iR3's still work great. They don't "suck" just because there's something better out now.

Well, they claim it needs a micro switch and a battery. WDP already has the opta switch, all we need is a miniature nuclear reactor and we'd be set. Emmit, you on the R&D team for this?

OK my 2cents and angel is an angel! Look at cars a vet just gets better with age most of the time. My fly is the jam in fact all IR3's are hot. And my old led is still rocking. Some people are suffering for young sibling trauma. Lets just thank WDP for not stopping on the IR3 and making new stuff. Is a doggy dog world!
And they still make a fine marker.

Does not matter anyways.....I have an IR3 and I can pull that trigger probably faster than half the speed owners.....The "4" should be nice but it's i was going to a low pressure gun I prob have to switch to an Excalibur......To bad WDP's not getting anymore of money anytime soon....sticking with IR3

Everyone is buying the a4 without even shooting it or even seeing it! Thats dumb, it's a lot different from other angels so they might not like it. I think that IR3s and speeds are like a midsize BMW, rock solid cars. The a4 is a BMW z3, small, has too much horsepower for that small of a car, and too much detail.

A lot of people were complaining about the lack of features on the speed. Yeah, some people liked the stripped down functionality of it, but others wanted all the bells and whistles to go along with it. And here is their chance to get just that. People want the newest features, milling, and braggin rights with the newest angel on the block.
The same thing will happen when the 5 comes out next january.
