I've seen that you can download setting to your IR3 from the internet with a palm pilot, some settings that the pro's use. Has anyone out there tried this? if so what does it change on the gun, what are the benefits and is it worth doing?

The settings are just a change in dwell here, a different mrof here. Nothing that will change the performance of your marker.

Yea for all the hype it really turned out to be nothing IMO. I have used the timer settings transfer though and like it. Really saves time when setting several guns.

you can adjust some of the text settings which cant be done without a palm and you are able to beam the patch if you have the vibes problem. If you know how to set the parameters correctly you can adjust the mode but it wont be saved permantly onto the board so itll go back to being locked after you turn off the gun.
Ive never done this but I was told it could be done by a player from a wdp sponsored team so dont hold me to my word.

ya they just change dwell, mrof, cmrof, sen, bas etc. basically the same things you would be able to change yourself, i would rather fine tune the marker myself since every marker is different

the pro settings are worthless IMO.....just because they run their marker that way doesn't mean it's the most efficient way that your marker will run, and it doesn't mean your marker will perform exactly like theirs
as for setting all your own stuff with the Palm.....I do it on a regular basis, and when I get suckered into tuning someone else's IR3 at the field, I just whip it out and make some changes and then off we go.

The timer on my Vibes won't start after I turn it on and then pull the trigger. Is that it, If so whats the quick link for the patch. The only way I can get it to work is if I turn the vibes on/off. But I have yet to start the timer.

that post is confusing.......but the vibes works this way:
marker in safe press bottom button, marker should vibrate and start cycling to game timer
first pull of the trigger starts game timer.
