I tend to do alot of sliding with my 5 pod vertical harness and I'm tired of having my pods pop open. I lose at least 300-500 rounds a day and it sucks. I've used the Indian Springs and keep popin open on me and my JT speedpods get dirt in them when I slide. Any advise is appreciated.

REDZ pods are by far the best pods i have ever used.

TC paintballs will be releasing some sweet pods soon. They supposedly wont break for anything. Chrome pods look good but shatter too much

Those dye lock lids have been "comming soon" for like a year now. I would get some if they get off their asses and put em up for sale.

Are you guys really happy with the Dye pods that are out now?

I use the Allen speed pods with my Jt H-4. reload time is really fast. Much stronger than Jt speed pods and no dirt. I've tried about every variation of Ball hauling system and pod systems out there. For me, this is the fastest. And it can be done with one hand while shooting. I would show you a video clip but I'm stuck here in for Afghanistan 6-12 months.

planet eclipse ponds suck .. They shatter like glass .
However I will go with the most enexpensive pod out thier .
I have a tendency to loose my pods all the time .

Fatboys! I've replaced all of my crap-tacular Planet Eclipse pods with them. Those PE pods open if you look at them funny... I've lost SOO much paint during games because of them. Never again. Fatboys all the way.

As for those new Dye pods, they've been technically "out" for almost 6 months, however they are backordered from Dye for the next 12+ months! Typical of Dye.

FAT BOY all the way! Dye pods open WAY WAY to easy! I used to dump like 3 pods a night! Now i have never dumped a pod! They are cheap to!I got 4 for 10 bux! The new dye ones will cost more than 4 fat boys...what a waste!

Another supporter for the Fat Boy pods. The new TC pods are really good too.

I had a bunch of Redz pods that I got for Christmas a couple of years ago....none of them made it past 3 months....most of them broke, or the lids didn't give me a firm seal when snapping shut so I stopped using them/threw them away. I've got some Extreme Rage pods, they are pretty good, got some PMI pods that are good, and some Fatboys that are real nice but I haven't had the opportunity to use them quite yet.

AHOLICK do you have any problems w/pods opening up when you load them this way? this is what im trying to say i think if you load them like this it doesnt really matter what brand as long as there is some tension on lid.

paintballaholick

i hve no problem, but i use fatboys( they will never open on ya)

I like fatboys the best, I have been using toxics for a few months, they seem to be holding up well. I think I'm going to order a dozen or so fatboys soon since no local stores carry them by me.

I've found that if you put the tabs towards your back, it is better, don't turn them to the sides ever....you start running and one hits another and you've got an open pod, as for towards the strap....well I think you run the risk of opening it at the same time as you pull the strap. With my pods in the elastic bands, I always pu the lids up, and the tabs pointing away.

Yeah, I use the Allen speed loaders too, they're actually called the SNAPP loader. Very very useful when you need to load fast.

Burned or intentionally lost all my other pods ever since I switched to Fat Boys. Flat out AWESOME! And scored mine for $2/ea at the Chi Town NPPL.

would you guys suggest not getting a Redz Dim 3.2 pack since it is vertical for a front player that slides a lot/? i would be using fatboy 100rd tubes also.

Emmit
08-03-2003, 10:09 AM
the vertical packs are the only thing I wear anymore...

I had a Unique packs that was horizontal, but it gives you a wider profile

I use the redz dem 4.3 and play front. I didn't notice a big difference with that and the 3.2. I'd go with the 4.3 since you can hold more paint. I usually only shoot 5 or so pods, but the less pods I have in the elastic loops the better. I find it hard sometimes to yank it out of the elastic loop when I'm in a wierd position, with the velcro type, I just un-do it and the pod slides right into my hand. Don't get a dye pack, they suck. The jt ones that dynasty use look good too, because they appear to very similar to redz.

But yah, go for the reds dem. It's the best pack I have used so far.

edit- I almost forgot, get some 140 fat boys

i saw dynasty at SC with the new JT/redz ones, they seemed so much just like redz... just dont get the other JT harness like i did...it sucks so bad

5+4 is waaaayyy to big for me.. the weight was too much and they would drag my pants down

and on the pod issue- fatboys are great IMO...

dusted

too heavy? too much paint? there is no such thing in paintball. if the weight drags down your pants do what i do-suspenders. you can never have too much paint espically with an electric

JTp8ntballer12

if u carry around like 9 pods with 140 rnds, and you way 100 lbs, its really guna seem like the world is on your back.

first off........stop using size 1 and trying to kill my eyes....

second.....when you're 6'5" and 230+ pounds, a 5+4 is nowhere near too big
