I'm looking at upgrading from my piranha to an actual tournament gun and so far the angel speed has drawn my eye the most. I just haven't figured out yet if it even has an anti-chop device. If it doesn't come with something like that can i upgrade my marker to imcorporate it?

Do more research on the marker. It's called SENSI. Detects paintballs by having them fall on a pin. The sensor below it detects the weight and allows the marker to fire, depending on which mode you desire.

:dito:Do a search for sensi. Also look in the angel speed questions thread.

Red Angel,

I'm glad to see that someone else is doing the same thing that I did awhile back. I was using a Piranha Ext-Pro 2K3, and jumped into a Angel Speed. I've been very happy with it, and have to extend my thanks to all the great people on this site, who have provided alot of answers, and shared their knowledge in the paintball arena.

You won't go wrong with this marker..........

Hey, I went from a JT Excellerator 3.0 to a 2K1 LCD...Haven't looked back since. Oh, and to stay on topic...speed's are great, the one I played with ripped and SENSI performed flawlessly through 1 case of paint, no chops

Well what do you expect? Not like you should go from a Piranha to a Shocker to an Angel. I meen, some people start out with angels. IT's personal preference dude. Speeds probably the best to start out with, don't need to mess with all the LCD accs.

i own a piranga ext-pro g3. after about 400 dollars in ugradable parts it is now low end tournament level. but i'm going to upgrade in the next year so i want to look around and see what maybe the best option for myself would be. so far the speed looks the best (by far the best). anyways thanks guys for the info.

I went from a black dragun to an iR3. I didn't get an impulse or matrix, I just made the right decision the first time. :stooges:

....and you saved all that money.

How many people have gone, tracer deluxe, mag, mini mag, cocker, angel? All that wasted money just to end up where I knew I wanted to go first.

i went... something called a phantom? it was my brothers pump then a 2000SF cocker, second year LED,2001 LED, systemX cocker(i know i know), LCD, and now jessica(speed). through all that... tourment of cokers and stuff i love my angels. the only reson i bought that system X cocker was cause my dad wanted a cocker and i figured it MIGHT be better then a WGP. trust me once you go angel you never go back.

if your looking to spend a lil less then speed price like down to 400 500, then LEDs are awesome. will hold up like a 98 custom and shoot like a LCD.

as long as it is ANGEL you wont be sorry.
hope that helps. just my 2cents

I played with my New Angel Speed this weekend for the first time and I did nothing but struggle. I am coming from a spyder that sucked major ass. The Speeds in the videos are very impressive but I am using a 850psi Dye tank and a 12vt. Revy. I have sensi on mode 3 and dwell is at 14ms. I shoot my five shots slow to set up sensi and then when I start to rip sure enough I chop paint. I get about 15 shoots and then I have to take it all apart and start cleaning. I thought it is impossible to chop with sensi on?

hmmm.. i went from a tippman to a spyder, to a cocker, to a speed.... i had the teck at Iao look through my gun, soem times the sensi is a little off and needs to be "tuned" i believe he said, oh well, it works perfectly now.... also he installed a magnet in it, now my trigger is being moved by "outside forces" ok its not exactly tourny leagal anymore... its a good choice.

haha...this should be its own thread..."previous guns.." i went from spyder shutter...to JT 6.0...then Speed...if i would have known how good the Speed was from the start...i wouldnt have wasted my time with other guns...but alteast i know how to work on other guns...anyways, the LDS on the speed is great...i've never had a problem with chopping, even with the sensi off...

the reason that u are chopping might be that you have your settings messed up.
put your dwell back to 8(factory setting)
and your sensi at 4
. unless a tech or someone that knows alot about it.
but also clean your sensi rod, after you chop a bit it gets dirty and can make you chop even more. just take off your trigger frame and pull the lil black thingy and wipe it off.
hope that helps.

I read that the sensi is more able to chop on mode 2 or 4. I put the dwell up to 14 because the shot seems to be more flat(not arched), but I don't know what I am shooting for fps. I will clean the sensi rod when I get home, but I have a freak kit that I just bought and I am taking it back to get a halo B(**** smart parts). I figure that the halo is more important and the factory barrel is fine.

I wouldn't suggest having your dwell that low. 9ms is the lowest I go, and I have zero problems with 10ms. As for your "arched" shots Krispy, your increasing of the dwell is increasing the FPS. I highly suggest you turn down your dwell.

If my dwell is set a 9 or 10 the gun will not do anything. I have to have it at least at 11 or more. Is this weird or normal.l

Very wierd!

krispy

at 9 or 10ms on the dwell, the gun just makes a click and puts the ball past the detents and feeds another. 14 seemed to make it shoot a lot more like a $1000 gun not like a spyder

You have some serious problems then. What's your input pressure? LPR pressure?

the-arch-angel

take it to a tech to have is serviced. and turn your velocity up by turning the screw on the side of the mini reg out. i asked a tech what i should have my settings at and he said "factory dwell(8), and mode2 sensi".

buy a halo. i borrowed my friends and i shot like 500paint and it is veryhard to outrun it(compared to my egg) i can shoot like 22-24 consistently without skipping much. you wont be sorry.

I got a halo today and an adjustable nitro duck tank I had the dwell at 11. The tank reg is set to 400psi. I am having very bad consistansy in air pressure. Some of my balls, when I would rip that were faster where hitting slower ones.

the-arch-angel

i had the same problem i have a preset high pressure. but the bolt on mine seems to be sticking a lil. but i have to chrono mine, it seems to be shootin way to slow. but with my new halo(borowing) she sure does RIP i could actually shoot fast tryin to outrun the halo. ofcourse when my fingers are touching the trigger the halo will not prevale, i skipped then chopped : l

but it IS much much faster then my egg. i cant wait ill m darn AIR comes in so i can get some consistency goin.
