The fly is a lightened smaller version of the stock IR3. But it's not anything revolutionary. By smaller, I mean it comes with a lowrise, I think. It also has the lower half of the trigger guard milled off. Performance wise, it is no different. Oh yea, it has nice milling too. I personally like the milling on the Flys, but that's my opinion of coarse. It's really just your preference for milling.

lot more milling, low rise, shorter barrel=lighter weight, sorta like the feather lcd from adrenalin. like python said tho, they will shoot the exact same.

I saw my first fly in person on tuesday, its pretty good looking although I find milling somewhat boring.
Its more of the get the job done with less bull§§§§ angel.
lol poo hes buying one! I would say that you should go for it. YOu will never regret buying into the best paintball marker.
It shoots exactly te same as stated above.

well, i would not say just jump right in and buy one, i mean, do some homework on the gun first, go to forums, go to pbreview, read what people think about them, what they like, what they dislike, go through as many posts as you can learning the marker. of all the guns i have even owned and or played with, spyders, cockers, defiants, bushys, impulses, gz timmies, the angel is the only one that i would go back to playing with. i wanted a gz timmy for a long time, but everyone that plays with one around where i play, theirs has broken on them, so i bought another angel, this time an ir3, its pretty sweet, prolly wont change or trade it for anything. i have to admit, i love the ir3 and all, but i think it could do without all the "fancy" §§§§ that makes it the ir3. i had a really nice led once, and that thing shot awsome, all i would need to make it an ir3 is cops, and an lcd screen, other than that, same thing. its all personal preference tho, if your not sure about buying an ir3, buy a cheap lcd, it will shoot basically the exact same as an ir3, just without cops, and a lot cheaper. try playing with one b4 you buy it too, when i bought my first angel, i hated the damn thing because the balls arched more than the cocker i was using at the time, but when i got used to the arch, dude, i loved it, sold my cocker, and somewhat stayed with the angel ever since.

I bought a iR3 Fly-black. Built in intella-feed. 4 oz. lighter than the C & C version. Low rise gated feed. Great if you play front man in tournements. The gate is just a little plastic piece that keeps balls from fall back into the hopper. 12" barrel. No "cutlass style" trigger gaurd. Space frame is easy on the wrists. Cops is nothing special. I have never chopped a ball with it off. It is the best marker for newbies to shoot. So easy to use. This is my first angel but as long as you don't do anything crazy without consulting the manual or a tech you will be fine. When you get it just read the manual......twice. Also don't be suprized by the 25 other modes locked out. If you are like me you automatically wanna start upgrading. A Freak barrel system and a Cobra bolt is all you need. If you want a pic of the blue fly let me know. Have fun! I know I do.

I believe that all IR3 models are good. before making a selection i would suggest holding and shooting a standard C&C first, determine for yourself if you can live with it. Also keep in mind upgrades. get the thing nicely balanced to help with any weight concerns. i like my gun to be my gun, i hate going onto the field and seeing the exact same setup, so i went with the C&C and will give the marker my kiss of fashion, OTOH its an angel you cant go wrong.

I have the Blue Fly IR3 and I love it, like Superfly said it is a great gun, it is lighter, the milling is different, the barrel is shorter, but overall it is the same as the CnC's not too many people have Fly's, and those that do like them, because all the CnC owners say I shoulda got a Fly....

you could say your right, the electronics and all are different, but my own oppinion, led's shoot better, and more simple, flip a switch, and your ready to go instead of the classic start the game and discover that you have forgotten to put it from safe to live mode  i think we have all done that one b4....
