Is it deep or just a small hairline? I tried that stuff on one of barrels, and it did not do anything to it. You should try it, but I don't know if it will take the paint off the gun when trying to rub it off.
If its black or red or green or blue, color it with a sharpie. You can not take the scratch out due to the fact that it is anodized aluminum. The scratch won;t go away but you won't notice it as much.

Permanent markers. Sharpie is thin. Go to Office Depot or Office Max.

I'm less ghetto... but only slightly so. I use paint pens.
Here's a thought. Put a sticker over it. Better yet, leave the scratch and when people notice it tell them " I play with my gun, it's not a showpiece. "
The harder you play, the more roughed up your equipment will get, but that's what some people would call "Character".
