PSP vs. Warped Sportz

I can't believe that PSP won't let Warped Sportz vend at the World Cup... Yeah what they wanted to do is risky, but hey... there are more risky things in this world that we are exposed to everyday.

It seems like PSP wants to limit the growth of paintball and keep it geared more for the kids.

Warped Sportz has done so much for the sport of Paintball... if it wasn't for companies like them.. PSP wouldn't even exist... Heck Warp Sportz was even going to sponsor a free Concert!

No more HEAVEN... I just hope that the new policies of PSP won't ban the Angel Girls

In the past I made comments regarding my distaste for Warped Sportz shockfests they put on at every event they attend. After thinking through it though, I must say, it is quite sad and a bit angering that the PSP is choking the fun side of paintball with rules like this. I can assure you, if I ever had any plans of attending WC, I would cancel them now(but ofcoarse, I don't even have a team). I saw my first pair of boobies because of Warped Sportz.

Why whould they do that. Warped Sportz has made the Angel really come to life, and they also make great upgrades for both. They also do a really good job as techs and repairing guns.

I need to be there! It's a shame WDP got plaid out and can't attend, I would've definitely gone to the event had I known it was going to be like that...

well, only to cancel once WDP decided not to show and everything gets kinda dull. Paintball is fun, but the whole shabang would've made it worth the trip for someone like me.

Yes this does suck...why? Because Warped used to have a great booth every year. Now you're stuck going to someone elses booth to try and find some of the Warped Sportz products. As for WDP and Heaven well last I heard that was still up in the air. Just because WS isn't going to be there doesn't mean that WDP can't do Heaven. The problem with that was the first year they did it WDP got in trouble for things took place inside Heaven, not really their fault, but because they sponsored it they took the heat. So we may not see Heaven. Guess we'll just have to hit Mardi Gras for Heaven. I'm a big supporter of Warped, and I think this sucks.

Attitude. In tennis John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors brought out the crowds in droves. Some people didn't even go there for the tennis.
In paintball, an extreme sport as it's classified, and coupled with todays society, we NEED shock factor. We need things to attract a crowd. I love the attitudes of WDP and WS. Hence one of the many reasons I have a Dark Angel, to support those two companies. The PSP is choking paintball, making it too corporate. The AVP, ASP, BMX and a slew of other sports have been through the corporate assembly line, they detached and are better for it. If the PSP alienates the people that originally started the sport, it will die as they are the real driving force behind it. It's called grassroots, and this is how paintball really spreads.

Since I'm not playing at the WC this was what I was hoping for. My official reason for going to the WC is to promote my new clothing company, Bonfire, but the real reason is sipping a cold one and watching a week's worth of paintball is just about the best vacation I can hope for. (Oh and I can write it off too)

Paintball is our "the players" sport if you dont agree with what is happening here make sure your opinion is heard at world cup. Just make sure your method of doing so is civilized and doesnt ruin what could still be a good event , besides if a party is the only reason your going why travel to florida for that? I don't agree with what is happening but I still plan on having a good time there. see ya next week.

Wow dude! Bringing back to life a thread that is 2.5-3 years old.

As for Cup, there is still beer...granted you have to buy it from the Disney people, like everything else food and drink associated as part of the agreement for being at Wide World Of Sports. There is also still plenty of tits. Unfortunately WDP is not nearly as well represented as they are at NPPL events, but that's a company sponoring a league thing I think. At least we still have MTs at PSP events to tune, fix, etc.
