Memory in batteries doesn't work that way.

Here's an example: You full charge the battery, but you only drain it a third of the way, then you charge it again. Well, if you keep doing it this way, the battery will begin to 'remember' how much charge it gets, so it begins to shorten how long the charge lasts. The only way to prevent this is to fully discharge the battery and fully charge it. There is no way to repair this 'damage' or remove the 'memory', at least not economically. Now, this is mainly only a problem with Nickel Cadium (NiCad) batteries.

Nickel Metal-Hydride (NiMH) do not suffer from this problem.

NiCad batteries were only used in LEDs and 2k LCDs. In 2001, they started using NiMH batteries in the LCDs, and subsequently, in iR3s and Speeds. You can also upgrade the battery in 2k LCDs to the NiMH (w/ a switch instead of Tab Key). But you can not upgrade the LED batteries.
