do you think a black one of those would look good on a red domon?.... the smallest bore size is .689 .... aint that a lil big?

acoenfam1
07-17-2003, 07:30 PM
Yea, it does seem a little big. Most of the paint I've shot lately (Maxium 2, Hellfire) has fit PERFECTLY in my .686.

MoogLe
07-17-2003, 08:08 PM
maybe they should have given the option to select your 3 bore sizes

JTp8ntballer12
07-17-2003, 08:39 PM
yea, the paint i use fit my (go ahead and laugh) system x perfectly...

Black and red guns look tight JT, put it on there.

JTp8ntballer12
07-17-2003, 09:51 PM
glad someone thinks it will look good, thx for the response

Emmit
07-17-2003, 09:54 PM
yeah black on red will look good on the Speed....especially with the other black accents already on it...

I already plan to purchase this system for my IR3, but it's all black, so there's no real contrast.

JTp8ntballer12
07-17-2003, 09:56 PM
do you think it would look good with a black adapter or minireg perhaps? or a black high rise?

im thinking out load here

Emmit
07-17-2003, 10:01 PM
I think too much black will make it look bad.......I'd stick with the simple stuff....but I'm like that

JTp8ntballer12
07-17-2003, 10:07 PM
so just the already black stuff and keep the rest red?

to stay on topic:
warped is talking about unrealistic bore sizes in their add, when theres are the most unrealistc ive seen..unless SCM is infact rght in that bigger is better....but personally i like mine mid sized and tight......

Emmit
07-17-2003, 10:20 PM
the thing is that Warped chose bore sizes that seemed to be fairly common.......689 is a very common bore size, and ironically I've recently ran into a batch of Ultra Evil that was tight in a 695, and that's the largest Freak insert we have.....although I do think that maybe a 687 would've been a little better...so they're playing on the 89 will work just as good as the 87...but they left out all the little stuff like the 679 and 681 etc....basically bore sizes have run the course again, and now we're back to bigger bores. A few years ago every paint manufacturer was going for the smallest possible bore size.......now they're all going really big instead....it's all part of a cycle and consipiracy between paint and barrel makers to make you buy new stuff every so often just to keep shooting the paint.......see how it works out...

JTp8ntballer12
07-17-2003, 10:24 PM
i agree a .697-.686 would have been better for most paint (i cant afford evil much) but i could always sell the other two sizes....ad IMO warped maes the best looking barrels. i think they shoulda had one smaller bore size for cooler winter days when paint shrinks.

not bad looking but ive seen that before.... trying to think where... it was like a silver whn i saw it. ill get back when i find it

Emmit

can't see the link, but the Dark Series barrels looked similar in design.......the Lucky15 has not been released yet.

the-arch-angel
07-23-2003, 03:52 PM
yea that is what the Dark Series. it looks nice, anyone have a Dark Series??? if you do put up a review, we can expect only better about the lucky 15

this barrel looks promising, I might pick one up.

Like I said before, they don't offer enough variety of bores. .689 isn't nearly small enough for the smaller paints. This is why I'm not going to be purchasing this barrel.

luckypballer

The sizes are a little big I agree. I have the single piece dark series barrel on my cocker and i does look good.

BONES

I'm probably going to buy the lucky 15 barrel set. Sure it's only 3 barrel/bore sizes but hey, Warped Sports has never let me down....

matman1
08-11-2003, 12:42 PM
if you ask them at warped they might have some smaller bore sizes lying around i tlaked to mike and right now i have a 695 i think im gona get the 686 and maybe a 693

STRYPER
08-11-2003, 02:06 PM
they should have made different lengths

MoogLe
08-12-2003, 01:25 AM
ya i think they should add a bit more variation, like give a choice with the length and bore sizes

matman1
08-12-2003, 01:52 AM
but that would defeat teh whole purpose of just buying this little kit silly

punkd
08-15-2003, 02:57 PM
i cant decide if i really like these.... it looks EXACTLY like the one peace dark seriese and i wasnt a fan of tha look but it shot awsome.... and the bore is another thing i just cant make up my mind on barrels....

JTp8ntballer12
08-15-2003, 08:32 PM
i love the looks of this, it matches dark products perfectly...

GAH! Too much money!

JTp8ntballer12
08-17-2003, 03:50 PM
its still petty cheap compared to freaks and pipes

punkd
08-19-2003, 12:47 PM
its also half the kit of the freaks and pipes but i guess since its 3 hole barrels thats different

JTp8ntballer12
08-19-2003, 02:48 PM
freaks and pipes give u stuff ur never gunna use though

punkd
08-19-2003, 03:02 PM
yeah but the 15 might not give you enuff the bores are too big *imo*

JTp8ntballer12
08-19-2003, 08:00 PM
thats the reason im not getting one...

but some ppl think big bores are better in all situations, so i bet warpd is trying to take advantage of that, its just too bad im not one of those ppl

Emmit
08-19-2003, 08:08 PM
however for some people it's perfect......Ultra Evil is usually quite large at around a 695.......Retail Evil is still usually at least a 689 if not a 693.......

JTp8ntballer12
08-19-2003, 08:12 PM
....you see, i didnt know that, now i might buy a set......

Emmit
08-19-2003, 08:24 PM
shoulda read some of the threads on the Evil that we've had.

I know this because as a team playing a PMI event, we only shoot Retail Evil, and Ultra Evil at events, and it's been very large in both Freaks and Sceptres as well as Pipes.

i like this barrel set. deciding between this or a dye ultralight set. kinda hard tho seeing as how nobody has shot the lucky 15 before...

matman1
10-14-2003, 11:30 PM
i had one and sold it, just too long for me and i dont think the bore sizes were consistent with their markings i had a bunch of barrel breaks in my 695

all in all it is a nice barrel though

MoogLe
10-15-2003, 12:13 AM
well you could be in trouble if you went to an event that uses draxxus inferno, i used that in aruba and i had to use my 682 insert, a few of the balls even fit the 679 but i chose not to use it to minimize breaks, never thought i'd see the day that paint would fit that thing

well you wont be directly in trouble but you wont be getting the best accuracy either

Emmit
10-15-2003, 07:38 AM
Severe at Cup last year was a 679 (the small silver insert):dunno:

From talking to the guys on Vicious it's a good system, and it's a 1 pc set up, I'm anxious to get my hands on it.

I'm trying to decide right now whether to wait for the lucky 15 or go with the freak that I can get right now. I have had the speed for about 2 months and I'm still shooting the stock barrel, thats just unlike me to keep it that long.

Emmit can give you a better heads up on the 15. I was talking to him about it today and he said that there isn't a release date yet. They are still just talking about them. By the way Warped is dragging this out, I would just go and get a Freak for now if you are in need of a barrel system.

yea realy it's just like the speed demon somthing always goes wrong and it's pushed back once again :,(

I have one. So some are already out. Its just that you can buy them from warped at events. I got mine from a person that got theirs at one of the events.

after having just spoke with WS MS yesterday for a couple of hours or so (stopped in while I was in town), I have a new tidbit of info. They are now being told first half of December on the release of this system. You can see the entire kit on the Jawbreaker 3 video however if you're interested in seeing it.
