Just wanted to let you guys know what I did the other day. Maybe it will save you some time and confusion next time you adjust your trigger.
I took out my Impact trigger and wanted to try the stock trigger. So I took the frame off of the gun, and put the stock trigger in and did some adjustments 'til it felt nice and short. Then I turned the gun to "LIVE" to see what I could get on the ROF. It was unusually slow, so I took the trigger out and did some more adjusting. I thought that maybe the trigger had too short of a pull and wasn't letting the opta switch move enough to close and open the circuit. Well, I made some adjustments then put the frame back on the body; gave it a try, but still was shooting slow. I assembled and disassembled the trigger countless times for about 2 hours. Still couldn't figure why the solenoid was firing so slow. :puzzled:
Then I took a look at the COPS sensor, and boy did I feel stupid! I had the COPS sensor turned on, but the frame wasn't mounted to the body. So the COPS made it fire slow because it wasn't seeing any balls. DUH!!! :duh:
So I turned COPS off and finished adjusting the trigger. Because I spent so much time playing with the trigger, I was now able to get the pull insanely short. And achieve a new ROF of 16, which is pretty good for me.
So, remember to turn the COPS off next time you adjust your trigger. Let me know if you've made this mistake before. It will make me feel a lot better. :embarasse
