H = W
BOLT WEAR CHECK REQUIRED.
Visually inspect the bolt to see if its badly scuffed. A few scuff marks are normal.
Very rare for there to be any bolt wear problems.

i had that same message come up on my baby(ir3) and i checked the bolt and it still came up again, i was at a practice so i had to keep turning it on and off to get it to finally stop.

If im not mistaken, the maintenance messages appear completely independant of the actual condition of the marker. They are set up appear depending on your ROF or total cycles.
Just because you iR3 is telling you to check the bolt for wear doesn't mean anything is necessarily wrong; Rather, it means that you have fired a number of shots that WDP thinks it is prudent to check your bolt after.

As with all of the service maintenance messages, they simply come up at certain shot counts.
Or did you think WDP built in some kind of oil sensor, grease sensor, bolt wear sensor into the gun?
Anyways, for these message including the "I'M YOUR BABY" type of fun messages, just push the lower button on your grip frame to clear it.
Might help to read your manual too, its all in there. WDP's not hiding anything.

I have to disagree with this. Details on H.U.D. have not been released as of yet...

With regard to how to service your Angels, and what various service messages mean, and how to clear those service messages, it is all right in the manual.
WDP tells you how to service your Angel, and how to troubleshoot it too.
Their manual is very complete, unlike any other paintball gun manufacturer I am aware of. (Not sure what the Shocker manual looks like)
HUD is a new, unreleased feature, and therefore the manual doesn't contain any operational instructions about it.
Sheesh. How literal can one be?

all you gotta do is clear the message with the middle button, and it won't come back again until the next shot counter comes up

if u put one drop of oil on the bolt it will be fine....its just telling u there is something causing friction on the bolt

Uh, actually, no.
You don't want to oil your stock bolt, it's meant to run dry. And how many times does it have to be said, the IR3 does not have hidden sensors all over it that detect whether or not your bolt is worn, your marker is oiled or anything else. It's not telling you that something is causing bolt friction, it's telling you to check your bolt for wear due to the number of shots you've fired.

man oh man... you guys are too much... this is the deal... HUD stands for heads up display.. it is new to the IR3 so there isn't much info on it in the manual.. if you buy a brand new IR3 with the latest software then you'll recieve an additional page describing the Cops 2 and the Hud a bit... if you turn it off, using only the internal buttons then you'll get no messages... on will men you'll have service messages....... also, the hud just counts off how many shots you rip and goes from there.. it assumes that you've shot maybe 4000 shots (ALL with air) i did this but it was all dry fire without even air in there... i just took forever to fart around and get a good trigger pull... therefore i got that bolt check message and ignored it.. i actually shot it like 20 times with air actually in it... so... it is just a shot counter and approx. time to check it out.. .like oil changes ok?
