i went and bought a new smoke halo b today, got it home put in the batteries and went to tighten the battery door screw and the phillips head stripped out. befor you start saying that i was being reckless with it, iwas not i was very careful. has this happened to any of you? how did you remedy the problem? im going to go ahead and play this weekend and then cut the head of the screw off with my dremel then cut the door off, take a pair of needle nose vice grips and back the screw out. then spend the $5.00 for a new door from odyssey. if there is any better ideas let me know. :pisss: :pisss: :pisss: :pisss: :pisss: :pisss: :pisss: :pisss:

odyssey made a battery cover video for halo owners to watch......and the screw is only supposed to just touch the plastic, it is not supposed to be tightened like the other screws.

Hey Dusted...take your dremel and cut a slit on the top of the screwhead and then use a flat head screwdriver to back it out. Good luck.

Perhaps you can try a screw extractor. You have to drill a small hole into the screw and then stick the screw extractor in to back out the broken screw. It may be tough since the battery door screw is tiny.

i used a dremmel and a very small bit and cut around the screw to make it large enough to lock a small pair of needle nose vice grips on and backed out the screw, on monday i will order a new batt door from odyssey for $5.00
