Any evil pipe owners out there notice that when you screw the backs and front together you aren't really getting a tight seal? I know the new generation backs have an o-ring included but that just makes it worse.

When I had a Evil Pipe I never noticed any problem.

i also had that problem... it also had a huge problem w/ breaking paint! i just said fux it and sent that back and got a new cp kit!
When looking down the barrel with light behind it shining through, I noticed a gap where the back and the front thread together. I have been breaking paint like crazy when shooting fast, the pipe is very accurate, but I believe it is causing me to chop paint.
The "gap" may be you seeing the change from the control bore to the .700 bore of the front. You see the same thing with the freak. A guy that I play with on a regular basis just got the Pipe, and he now plans on selling it for either an edge or the cp kit. He complains about paint breaking to the point of it being annoying!

You are correct Devs, I figured it out about 5 minutes after posting that message. My pipe is breaking paint like crazy now, it wasnt at first but now its horrible. I got my speed to stop breaking on the bolt, but now its always breaking in the barrel. I am still impressed at its accuracy, but who cares how accurate it is dry when you break atleast one ball per game?

I had afreak and currently I have a pipe and a powerlyte. Darts out of both....no problems with breaks. The pipe will eat up battleswabs do to the angle of the ports.....my only complaint..
