What do you guys think about this barrel?

In my experiance, warped wportz makes a very good barrel, and they make a good point that a seamless one piece barrel has its adtvantages, and you probably don't use more than three inserts or backs. It only comes in the 15 inch length (hence lucky 15)

I spoke with a player on farside, and he said he he liked the barrel, it was very smooth and quiet. I believe emmit also has heard good word about the barrel, but i don't want to talk for him.


However, my Question is, if that is the case, why wouldn't you just buy three used boomsticks? They will most likely me more accurate, and you can choose your length if you would rather have a 10 or 12 inch barrel. You could probably pick up three used boomsticks for $150-160.

You're riding the hype of the Boomstick again. How do you know the Boomstick is any more accurate than any other given barrel? Have you mounted them, and done accuracy tests with a vice and specific conditions? You're stating an opinion, not fact.

Anyways, yes I've heard good stuff about them, and I intend to purchase it when it comes out. They are Aluminum so they will be lighter than Boomsticks. As for length.....15 inches isn't really much different than the 14 most players are using now. I've been using 14's for years on all my Angels. Before anyone starts trying to bash a product that isn't out there yet, lets wait til it at least comes out and it's in the hands of players other than Farside, and Vicious (and one other I can't remember right now).

I don't know. It seems like it really would work. You could buy 3 "glued" boomsticks too for around $150. But I dunno, I'll have to try out that barrel. Warped hasn't ever dissapointed me.

Warped doesn't usually go to the IAO, so no.....I was told by one of the guys that he should have them end of the month :dunno:

I think their bores don't go small enough. .689 isn't nearly small enough to fit small bore paints like some diablo and evil. I also think they should have different length sets, not just 15", even though that's the name.
