when you have linux set up to work in a windows environment, you can pretty much set it up to do anything you want, with windows you are restricted to certain commands, with linux you set the agenda, and because it is user based, if there is a problem reported, there is usually a patch available withtin the same hour.

I use Windows XP at home, but UNIX at work. I'm thinking of getting a new hard drive and running LINUX on it. I love my UNIX workstation and LINUX is just like UNIX for home.

Linux is what i run on My server and is like butta! My uptime is like 6 months, and that is because I changed where the server was physicaly.

yea, Unix is pretty much the same thing as linux, I have unix on my old Mac. linux on my laptop, and windows on my LAN machine (for gaming purposes)
