iR3 board question

I was talking to some people that said you can put an ir3 board in a regular 45 frame that comes stock on the LCDs and it would mostly fit except for the one of the screws on the board that holds it to the frame. If I did this would I be able to use my LCD trigger, or would I have to make modifications to it to make it work?

-I did some searches but I only got stuff about putting the LCD board in a Space Frame.

Where would you get an ir3 board to put in an lcd frame? Its not like you can buy extra boards or people would know all this stuff because they would have already tryd. I dont know why it wouldnt fit. If it doesnt then just get a file and start on that frame If you cant get that board to fit in.

yea you cant just buy a board, it needs to be replaced, as in you send in a defective board and you get a new board, dont even know if they do that

I think you have to send the gun and get it replaced, not just the board....right?

from what ive heard it will but not 100% positive on that, the extremely hard - impossible task will be actually finding a ir3 board to buy, the ir3 spaceframes are hard enough to find and pretty much noone will have an extra ir3 board to sell
